Holidays

At various times of the year, holidays may be organised. These can be from a weekend to a couple of weeks. In recent times, holidays for example have included those in the Lakes, North Wales and further afield to Nerja in Spain.
The availability of these holidays is advertised on the coaches. Members make their own arrangements for Nerja, for other bookings a deposit secures a place on a first-come first-served basis.


HF Holidays also provide walking holidays and activity breaks across the UK, Europe and Worldwide. They have been providing walking holidays since 1913. They are owned by their members and have a strong relationship with the Ramblers. HF Holidays also contribute a sum of money to our group when holidays are booked with them - again, only if you quote the name of Wirral Ramblers Group when you book. A partnership, supported by Ramble Worldwide, provides direct financial contributions to local walking groups to help with organising group walks, encouraging people to get out walking, helping to clear and improve footpaths, providing equipment to help walkers etc. Our group can benefit directly if you book a holiday with Ramble Worldwide. We will receive a contribution of £10 per person on UK holidays, £20 per person on short haul holidays, and £30 per person on long haul holidays – but only if you quote the name of Wirral Ramblers Group when you book. Currently, we use funds raised this way to support a stiles removal programme.

Ramble Worldwide operate group walking holidays in the UK and all around the world. Each holiday is accompanied by a qualified walks leader, so you can leave all the organising to them and just enjoy meeting like-minded people and some fantastic walking. Holidays are graded in terms of difficulty, and there is a full range from sightseeing right up to hut-to-hut mountain treks.
