Management

Wirral Ramblers is managed by a committee which meets each month. Our group is a member of the Merseyside and West Cheshire Area of the Ramblers.

The Group's Complaints Procedure is available here.

The Area Newsletter for July 2018 is here and the Annual Report for 2018 is here.

We're part of the Ramblers, the charity that helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protects the places we all love to walk. We're dedicated to leading walks, looking after paths and green spaces, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness. Your membership helps the organisation to undertake this work. You can find more about the Ramblers here.

The Wirral Group of the Ramblers is a friendly and active collection of people who enjoy a varied and interesting programme of walks and social activities. Formed in 1954 as an offshoot of the Liverpool Group, we have grown to become one of the largest of the 500+ groups of the Ramblers with a membership of almost 800.

The Wirral is ideally situated for easy access to some of the finest walking in the country and our location enables us to provide one of the most varied walks programmes in the UK covering such areas as Mid-Wales and the Borders, Snowdonia and North Wales, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the Peak District, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria and the Lake District on our weekly Sunday excursions.

Footpath Problems

Please would members report Wirral area footpath problems such as obstructions or ploughing up of footpaths; or any gates, bridges or styles that need repair, in as much detail as possible, to our Footpaths Officer using this form. Alternatively, problems can be reported to Wirral County Rights of Way Officer on 0151 606 2480.
